Entry Fee:                  $125.00 due on or before Monday, April 3rd.

Meet Entries:             Due 8:00 P.M. Wednesday April 14th  

Register meet entries at www.wi-track.com for the Crusader Classic. Meet entries are due no later than 4/14 at 8:00 P.M. 

 

Rules:                         A contestant may enter a maximum of 4 events, of which no more than 3 can be running or 
		    	       field events. You are allowed to enter 2 per event and one relay team. Make sure that 
		    	       accurate and legitimate efforts are included so that the trial heats and sections may be 
		    	       set up fairly. Please list the FULL name and best performance to date for each girl entered.

 

Awards:                     Individual Awards:     Medal 1st- 8th

                                    Trophies:                     1st, 2nd, 3rd place teams

                                    Relay Awards:                        Medals 1st- 8th

                                    MVP Track and MVP Field Athletes

                                    (Coaches will vote for the outstanding athletes.)

Scoring:                      10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 for individual events and relays (8 place scoring)

 

Event Notices:            Catholic Memorial is a metric all weather facility so that spikes may be worn for all running events and 
			  can be used on the high and long jump runways. Flats must be worn in the shot and discus.

 

Note:                           Only 1/4 inch exposed spikes are allowed on the track!

A.    The 100 m dash, 200m dash, and 100m hurdles will be run in heats. Heat winners qualify plus the next best times to fill all 
      8 lanes for the semifinals and finals. 

B.    The 400m dash will be run in lanes all the way. We will run in heats, with  the top 8 times in the final heat. Places will be 
      determined by times run through all of the heats.

C.    Relays- 400m and 800m relays will be run in lanes all the way. In the mile relay, a 3-turn stagger will be used. In all relay 
      events, there will be heats determined by seed times. The top 8 teams will be in the final heat. In the 3200m relay, the two 
      sections will be run with a one-turn stagger, and places will be determined by times.

D.    The 800m, 1600m, and 3200m runs will be run in sections. The first turn will be run in lanes.

E.    There will be 3 trials attempts in the shot put, discus, long jump, and triple jump, with the top 9 girls getting 3 trials in 
      the finals. Places will be determined from all the attempts. 

F.    The high jump will start at 4’6”; and the bar will be raised by 2” at a time until 5’, then by 1” until completion. 

G.    National Federation Rules will be adhered to.

 

Miscellaneous:           CONCESSIONS AND MEET T-SHIRTS WILL BE AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT THE DAY. THE COACHES HOSPITALITY ROOM WILL BE 
                         OPEN IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE COACHES MEETING AND REMAIN OPEN ALL DAY.

                                    No locker room facilities will be available. Please dress at home.

                                    No contestants, managers, or coaches will be allowed on the infield after the track events start. 
                                    Everyone must be on the outside of the fence once the running events begin. The finish area will 
                                    be roped off for the electronic timing. Again, coaches must be outside of the fence!
